Merry Christmas!!!

I hope everyone had a GREAT Chrismas. Christmas was wonderful for us this year. Mike and I were able to go to my parent's house in Milton Freewater and be with my entire family. We were able to get family picture while we were all together. It was great to joke around and have fun together. I got to spend a lot of time with my 7-month old nephew. We has mastered crawling and is ready to start walking soon!!! It is always fun to have kids around at Christmas time. This Christmas I feel extremely blessed. It seems like things keep going our way.

First, right before we left Moscow, Mike found out he got a job on campus. He will be a Teacher Assistant for an entry level history class. He really likes the teacher he will be working for and the extra income every month will be nice.

Second, Mike and my Christmas gift from Mike's parents were two cell phones. We were grateful just to have one cell phone so having two has been beyond wonderful. They are Nokias with a camera and camcorder. I love mine! AND for all of you who complained you can kind of get a hold of us now.

Third, Mike and I have been looking for a car for months and months now. We have been researching and trying to figure out what is best for us. It has been such a HUGE stress. When we went down to my parents my Dad told us about a Toyota dealership that had several cars that we have been looking into. We went to the dealership and found three different cars that we were really interested in. As you probably know, Toyota cars aren't the cheapest but the dealership had great deals. WE BOUGHT A CAR!!!! It is a 2006 Toyota Corolla with 32K miles. I LOVE IT!!!! It is a huge upgrade from the Geo. One of the things we really wanted was a 5-Speed which is really hard to find on newer cars but luckily we found it. I just can't believe we got exactly what we wanted. How often does that happen when you are looking for a car?

I just feel like everything just fell into our laps and I couldn't be more grateful. I am so thankful for what has happened and still can't believe it. Have a wonderful holiday season and enjoy the pictures!

Elk City, ID

My dad, me, and Mike

Sorry I am horrible on updating this thing. Mike and I just aren't that exciting. This picture is of our vacation to Elk City, Idaho. Yeah I thought the same thing, "WHERE?" You pretty much drive for a while into the mountains and then you turn and follow a river forever and then surprise surprise this little (and I mean little) town instantly appears. My parents rented this wonderful cabin and took Mike and I on a 4-wheeling trip. It was a blast! I needed the vacation so badly from work and screaming children. This picture is our last ride before we went home. (Please don't look to closely at us because we don't look very clean at all, AND we look huge because it was snowing on us so we had 5 layers of clothing on under our coats.)

Just Chillin'...

Well nothing really exciting has happened to us since I last wrote. We are settled into our new apartment. We love it her in Moscow. Everyone has been extremely nice to us. People are even nice when we go to the gas station and McDonald's. That's saying something! I still work at Palouse Early Learning Center but now I am the Head Teacher over the Toddlers. I love the babies but the toddlers are a much easier and more fulfilling group. I can actually have a topic for the week and the children understand. I'm exhausted when I get home from work everyday but I still enjoy working with the children. It is very fulfilling. I've also made some wonderful friends at work. I am currently getting all my paperwork filled out so I can finish my internship.
Mike is still in school and enjoys it. He says it is a lot more laid back than he was expecting. He really enjoys some of his professors and constantly tells me about them when I get home from work. He is currently working on figuring out what he is going to write his thesis about. We decided to attend a married student ward and we love it so far. Everyone is very nice and welcoming and we hopefully won't get stuck in the primary.

Movin' On...

Rexburg Trailer House

After graduation we were able to pack up the house quickly with all the help of our families and we cleaned up the house. We no longer live in Rexburg, ID. We currently live in a storage unit and my parents house for the time being.

I also had an interview for a job on July 23, 2007 and I got it. WAHOO!!!!! I will be working in a daycare/preschool setting. I will be the head teacher of the infant room. There will be 6 children and 2 teachers (I'm one of them) in that room. Right now the youngest child is 15 months. I could possibly get children in there that are as young as 6 weeks old.

When we (Mike, my mom and me) went to Moscow, ID for the interview we found our apartment and looked on campus a little. We are very excited for the change and can't wait to move up there in a few weeks.

Graduation!!!

I've finally graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Child Development. Mike graduated with his Bachelors of Arts in History. It was a very stressful few weeks but we made it. I had both my parents, my brother Justin and his wife Janelle come to graduation. Mike had both his parents, his sisters, Amy and Sarah, his brother, Dave and Dave's family, Joy, Devin, Hannah, and Baby Ethan come to his graduation. It was fun to get together with the family and have some relaxing times but we quickly put them to work to pack up our house for moving.
