7 Months Old

Anything he can reach will go into his mouth.

My favorite part of the day sometimes. He hasn't attached himself to any one blanket yet but if he looses his pacifier he will shove the blanket into his mouth.

Ready for church! Alex is finally old enough to wear this outfit. I was so excited. I thought he looked adorable all dressed up and spiffy.

I woke up from my nap and Alex had been busy. Luckily we were able to get him to do it a few more times. I love the little wiggle of his bottom!

Mike and I were married 4 years ago in the Bountiful, Utah Temple on August 12, 2005 . I can hardly believe it has already been that long. I know a lot of people say that the first few years are the hardest but I have never felt that. I feel so blessed to have found someone that is so perfect for me. I love you Mike!

Alex LOVES his cousin Tyler. He just watches and laughs at him all day long. Almost every picture or video is him following Tyler. I'm pretty sure it will inspire him to crawl. Cross your fingers!

Hello Twin Falls!

Just chilling in our empty apartment in Moscow. He was exhausted and ready to get on the road.

Well, we've finally moved and have offically lived in Twin Falls, ID for a week. We already feel like this is home. We love our new apartment and the wonderful new things it has to offer us such as an extra bedroom & bathroom plus a dishwasher. We feel so grateful for finding this brand new complex. It is wonderful to have clean carpet and new appliances that work great. We are still in the middle of unpacking and will probably be at it for a while.

Over the past month Alex has done a lot of playing by himself and playing with weird objects because everything else was packed. He also finally learned how to sit up by himself, is getting really close to crawling, and had his first tooth make its appearance the other day. He turned 7 months today and we love him more everyday.

We were trying to pack so we just kept throwing toys at him to occupy him. It worked for a little while.

Leaving Moscow!

For the last two years we've had the opportunity to live in Moscow and have been surprised by how much we enjoyed it there. We've had the opportunity to make so many friends and we've learned so much from all of them. We are really going to miss this beautiful area and the people that are here. We created a list of the things we love about Moscow and the things we could live without.

LOVE about Moscow:

1. The palouse is so beautiful with it's rolling hills of wheat throughout the year. In the spring it looks like rolling hills of grass everywhere and at the end of the summer everything is gold. It is so beautiful.

2. How nice and friendly everyone is here. We can't go to Walmart or WinCo without at least one person stopping me and talking with Alex.

3. Living in a complex with grass and trees surrounding it. Our first thoughts when we moved here was that we lived in the middle of a forest.

4. Being so close to campus so that Mike can walk back and forth easily.

5. Being in an apartment that is built so that we can't hear my neighbors EVER!

6. The close friends I've made that have taught me so much about: service, crafting, cooking, and blogging!

Is Grateful to be Leaving:

1. Dingy, old, brown, moldy apartments. (They were cheap so for 2 years they were great but I'm done)

2. The lack of a dishwasher!!!

3. Sap covering our car....(I know if we didn't park under the tree this wouldn't have happened but it helped to keep the car cool and snow free.)

4. The heavy snowfall here which is extremely annoying when I had to go to the doctors 2-3 times a week at the end of my pregnancy and every time we left we (actually Mike) had to dig out the car. When we came up everyone told us they didn't get very much snow here...yeah right!

5. Having to park far away from our apartment.

6. Water that every so often smells like sulfur, turns brown, and tastes like you are licking an old metal pipe. Also, water that turns our whites weird colors and leaves a nasty peach color on EVERYTHING!

We are grateful for this time in our life and the experiences we gained from the Palouse area. We also wanted to thank everyone for helping us move out of our apartment. We really appreciated it!
