100% Boy!

Alex has dived head first into toddler hood with a vengeance.  There is a lot of screaming, crying, laughing, talking and MESS MESS MESS with him.  My baby boy is no longer a baby and constantly shows me everyday how much he has learned.  He responds when we ask him to do something like putting his shoes away in the closet, going to the table when it is time to eat, and folding his arms when we say prayer.  We love our little man but I miss my baby Alex too!
Alex has decided that he likes to give hugs ESPECIALLY to girls.
He loves to be tickled and will lay in bed with us in the morning while we torment him.
Alex LOVES to go down slides and since he has now figured out how to go down them backwards he gets to go on the big ones all by himself. He doesn't mind going face first or on his bottom but he gets a freaked out look on his face.
He absolutely loves to play outside.  He will go from thing to thing.  He even sits in front of the window for hours just looking outside.
Remember this picture almost a year ago...
Now look at him....!  The swing got a little smaller!
I don't know where he came up with talking like this but he does it a lot!
Did I mention he likes to make a mess?
He got a hold of a roll of toilet paper on Daddy's watch and got to tear it to pieces.  He thought it was one of the greatest toys ever!  Unfortunately, he got into our bathroom today and destroyed another one.  Any suggestions on stopping this?
Alex also loves to feed himself with a spoon now.  He isn't very good at it but it fun to see the result at the end of the meal.  He isn't starving so he must be doing something right.
His newest skill is rolling his eyes.  Mike blames me for this one especially since Alex does it to Mike all the time!
