At one point a week ago, the SD card that was in my camera got reformatted and I lost a lot of pictures and videos. My tech savvy husband was able to get a lot of them back but unfortunately, I'm still missing a lot. Here is what is available from the weekend!
We started our 4th of July by going to the parade. We waiting for an hour and a half through the bouts of intense wind and rain to watch a 20 minute parade. Alex still enjoyed it and it was free so we called it a success. My brother, Justin, and his family, Janelle and Allie, were able to come spend part of the day with us. We decided to do a picnic that night on our little charcoal grill and we had just finished cooking the meal when an Idaho monsoon hit! These pictures can't do this crazy storm justice.
Alex was trying to get the water wet like it was getting him! I think he lost that water fight!
Alex sporting his very first black eye! He dropped a heavy train track toy on his face with his feet.
Of course, we all love to jump on Uncle Justin and tickle!!
Justin was pretty beat up after this. I'm pretty sure that is a look of pain on his face.
Alex was laughing more while watching the video than while he was being tickled, or tickling. I should have taken a video of him watching the video!
I would like to note that all those boxes in the background are now FINALLY gone! It seems to always take me a few months to get the last of it put away.
We went and watched fireworks later that night and Alex loved it. The pre-show with all the illegal reservation fireworks really added to our night!
We also had some of our own that we did later after the fireworks and a few sparklers before.
Alex was in awe with it and luckily didn't burn himself even after several close calls.
Holidays seem to get better and better as Alex gets holder. It really does bring excitement to the day when you're trying to get a two year old into the activity. It is also a blast to have family come. Thanks Justin, Janelle and Allie for spending the day with us.
